Former Rutgers University student Dharun Ravi was sentenced to 30 days in Middlesex County jail in North Brunswick, this afternoon.
According to NJ.com, Ravi will receive a 3-year probation sentence, will be required to perform 300 hours of community service, and will attend a counseling program related to cyber bullying and alternative lifestyles.
In addition, Ravi will have to pay a fine of $10,000, the sum of which will be allotted to a facility dedicated to victims of bias crimes.
